Tiny Neon Tips

Here is another tiny tips mani. I used Essie's Like to Be Bad from the 2012 wedding collection and Funky Limelight for the tips. The tip on my thumb came out too thick lol, but I liked how the tips stood out :) Instead of the bright yellow color, the tips turned out to look more greenish I think from Like to Be Bad. 

Peek-A-Boo Camera

Hello :D I know I already used Essie's Camera in my last post, but used it again here. I applied Camera and then Topless and Barefoot on top. Do you guys know what this type of mani is called? I've seen it a few times and wasn't sure if there's a proper name for it. Please let me know if you know! :D

Tiny Camera Tips

Hello! For this mani I wanted to show Camera from Essie's Poppi Razzi collection. I used OPI's Steady As She Rose and used Camera for the tiny tips :) This was really simple and I've been loving the look of neutrals and neons together so I had to try it out on my nails. In the picture I think the tips stand out nicely. It's not as neon-y in real life, but it still came out pretty vibrant. 

On another note, I'm so excited because tomorrow we are leaving for LA :) We will be there from Wednesday until Sunday and I'm going to still try and keep up with reading blog posts and getting back to comments, but if not, you know why :P I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week, and an amazing weekend!!

Neon Haul

I've been going neon crazy so a few weeks ago I purchased Essie's Poppy Razzi collection with Lights, Camera, Action, and Bazooka and China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy and Pink Voltage. After seeing Jackie's post at Pampered With Polish and Nicole's post at Polish Me Please!, I was both excited and iffy about the Essie collection. So far I've only tried Bazooka, the more reddish orange color, and it's not as neon-y as I was hoping. The color is nice a vibrant though. I've heard both positives and negatives about neons. What are your thoughts?

OPI No Room for the Blues and That's Hot! Pink

Happy Friday! This is just going to be a quick swatch post. Above is OPI's No Room for the Blues. This was two coats and it's nice and vibrant. I don't have many blues and I'm really liking this one. It's different from what I usually wear :) Down below is That's Hot! Pink.

Glitter Sandwich

This is my first time doing a glitter sandwich. I used OPI's Don't Touch my Tutu! and put two coats of Color Club's Wish Upon A Rock-Star in between. I first saw this done on Nailed It's post here and recently I saw it on Blattitude Nails' post here. When I saw this the first time, I knew had to give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration, ladies :)

So these are the swatches of the New York Ballet collection. I felt a little silly doing the swatches because the polishes are so sheer and almost look alike. For each polish I used 3-4 coats to show more of the color. The difference between the colors are very subtle, but I still like them. I like using sheer polishes if I'm not in the mood for too much color, but still want my nails to look  somewhat nice. I hope you all have a wonderful week and hope all you mothers out there had a wonderful mother's day yesterday!

1. Do you like to read? What do you find yourself reaching for?
I love to read. I like a variety, but I enjoy romance, fantasy, and some science fiction.

2. How many hours a day do you find yourself doing blog related activities?
Oh my goodness. I don't keep track exactly, but during my lunch at work and when I get home from work I can spend a good 4-5 hours doing blog related activities. Sometimes even more during the weekends. It's like a part time job :)

3. Bows or ribbons?
Bows

4. How often do you do your nails?
Maybe once or twice a week. I'm definitely ahead of my nail posts. 

5. Do you have a way you do your hair/face everyday or does it change on a day to day basis?
I pretty much have the same routine on work days. My hair goes up in a messy bun and I wear wear little to no makeup. During the weekends, I'll change it up a bit. 

6. Do you have any siblings? Do they blog?
I have a brother and sister. Neither blog, but my brother is in the sound industry so he does some music producing and shares it online.

7. Is your health a huge concern to you?
It's not major, but I do make sure I take care of myself. I try to eat well and exercise a few times a week.
8. Which popular thing does everyone else love... but you just don't care for?

Hmm...maybe facebook lol. I used to have fb, but deleted it maybe more than a year or 2 ago. I just feel like it's taking over everything. Sometimes certain sites require you to sign up with them only through fb. I don't know. I have nothing against those who have facebook accounts, but I feel like it's just too much. 

9. What if someone came and told you your blog name was taken and copyrighted by someone who came before you? Would you fight it or change it? What would you change it to?
omg I would be so mad. A couple months or so ago, something happened to my blog. I don't know what happened exactly, but when I was logged in, all my posts were gone, my website wasn't showing up...It was a nightmare. It only lasted about half an hour (I had to reset my password and verify this was my account), but it was horrible. It was like I lost someone dear to me. I would try to fight for my name. If I had to change it, I wouldn't know what to change it to! 

10. How do you feel about hair extensions and fake lashes?
I think hair extensions are nice if you have short or thin hair, and you need the length and volume. I think false lashes are nice if you want a dramatic look, or if you want to make your lashes look fuller. I don't use hair extensions, but I will use false lashes if I want to spruce up my eye makeup for night wear :)  

11. Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? 
I have no idea...I remember watching the TV show and playing the PC game when I was younger. I never finished the PC game though :/ It was very entertaining haha.

Double Chain Ring

Happy Friday! This will just be a quick post showing this awesome ring I got from Urban Outfitters! I've been seeing these chain rings around lately and love the look of them! One of my friends benwajones recently purchased one like this from jewelmint and I loved the way it looked on her! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
